Canadian Made, right here in BC.
At our first trade show, the Lift Expo here in Vancouver, there was a young man admiring the M108 we had on display. “Where is it built?”
“It’s built right here in BC. Surrey!”
“And where do you get your parts and components?”
“Here as well. We design and machine the bulk of our parts in-house. And all our extrusions and injection moldings are from local companies.”
“You’ll want to outsource everything to China, you’ll be able to bring your prices down a lot. I can help you with that.”
“Well, our CEO, Aaron, he’s from here, and having everything made here with Canadian labour is important to him.”
No, we won’t.
It’s a point of pride and of core importance to our company that we design and build things right here in British Columbia. It’s about more than just the margins, it’s about supporting Canadians. We’re creating good jobs for
those in our community, and are on the verge of a game-changing impact in a brand-new industry, with Canada as the world-wide leader.
The Mobius Trimmer M108 does have several components that are sourced from over-seas. But that’s several out of thousands. In fact, less than 1% of the components and parts that make up the M108 are from outside of Canada. We’re proud of that.
The usual assumption is that offshoring your manufacturing is cheaper. For us, that’s not the case. We’ve worked very hard to create our own techniques and processes that allow us to manufacture here at costs that are competitive with those we could get by offshoring, all while maintaining full control of quality.
Manufacturing in this country is a small industry. But while we may not make many things here in the North, we’ll always make the Mobius Trimmer right here, at home, in Canada. We guarantee it.
